Could inflation catch bond market investors offside?

Two successive high inflation points in the US could mean that having managed the pandemic relatively well, central banks could be about to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The twin strike force of monetary and fiscal stimulus could catch both policy makers and investors offside as the vast amounts of newly created money that has been transferred to both consumers and companies is spent in the economy pushing demand to elevated levels.
